Because dynamic critical incidents are spontaneous and unpredictable, you could find yourself in many different positions during a firefight, including on the ground or in the prone position. In this video, Rob Pincus shows the proper technique for firing a weapon once you’ve been knocked to the ground, and how to continue to check your surroundings as you get back to your feet after your target has been suppressed or downed. The key to shooting from the ground is to keep as many of your shooting fundamentals as consistent as possible.
