Before you say, “There is no optimal setup – it’s personal preference!” let Rob Pincus explain that he understands that. However, he has seen literally thousands of students sling up during his decades of teaching rifle training classes. He’s seen what works and what works the best.

Ideally Rob wants a two-point sling that converts to a single-point because the latter provides more maneuverability. Next best is a two-point sling with both points mounted close to the receiver, one just in front of it and the other at the back, both using QD attachments. Rob shows the advantages of this set up.
